THE LD CONNECT TUBE

LD launches its new service «The LD Connect Tube» to monitor the performance of 3G, 4G and 5G mobile networks within a given footprint.

WHY?

This continuous monitoring service allows:

• To know in real time the state of the mobile services in order to, if necessary, take the actions to correct the failures (maintenance activation) and to communicate with the impacted users.
• To evaluate over time the capacity of the network installation to absorb the traffic generated and its degree of saturation. This evaluation serves as a basis for triggering the mobile network upgrade actions necessary to maintain a high level of performance.

HOW

This service is based on the deployment of a tube which is made up of a box containing one or more terminals and which is fixed in a place located under the coverage of the radio cell which one wishes to monitor. These terminals are remotely controlled and are responsible for continuously monitoring:

• The performance of mobile networks from the point of view of user experience criteria: voice call, data flow transfer, etc.
• The effective availability of mobile networks.

«The LD Connect tube» is available in a version with four terminals (4T). It is designed to monitor the installation of multi-operator network coverage. It can be used to extend the coverage of mobile networks installed in public or private buildings.

«The LD Connect tube» is also available in a version including a terminal (1T). It is mainly intended for monitoring private mobile networks, whatever their use (transport, industry, etc.).

FUNCTIONALITIES

All the information collected via the tubes is accessible through a webservice.

A manual report is published.

It includes:

• Dashboards gathering the different performance indicators.
• The maintenance logbook

Any defects can be notified to the customer in real time by email/mobile notification.
